The Maputo Corridor is a transportation route that links the port city of Maputo in Mozambique to South Africa's Gauteng, Limpopo, and Mpumalanga provinces. It's a major trade route that's considered one of the most efficient ways to move freight from South Africa to Maputo. It is not managed by a single central authority, but rather overseen by a coalition of national governments (the South African and Mozambican governments), state-owned enterprises, and cross-border public-private partnerships
