Description

The North-South railway corridor connects Turkmenistan to the central areas of Kazakhstan, Iran, the Persian Gulf countries, Russia, and the Southern and South East Asia. The section between Hazar (formerly Buzkhun) and Akyol (formerly Chilmammet) is government-and-ADB funded, and the section between Etrek and Bereket is IsDB-funded. The rest of the railway is funded by the government and the finance details are not public. This component documents the co-financed part of the railway.
