Objective

Reduce Regional Disparities: The project aims to accelerate and strengthen the economic and social development of the Oriental Region by improving its attractiveness and creating jobs. Strengthen Morocco's Port Services: NWM aims to enhance Morocco's port capacity in the Western Mediterranean and attract a larger share of global shipping activities. Attract Foreign Direct Investment: The project is designed to attract foreign direct investment, particularly into the industrial and logistics zones, fostering private sector development and job creation.

Description

Nador West Med (NWM) is a new Moroccan megaport and industrial zone under construction in the Bay of Betoya, near Nador, on the Mediterranean coast. It's a large-scale project designed to boost the economy of northeastern Morocco, attract foreign direct investment, and create jobs. The port will feature terminals for containers, hydrocarbons, bulk goods, and roll-on/roll-off (ro-ro) vessels, and is strategically located near major shipping routes
