Baku-Guba-Russian Federation Border Highway

Objective

The project aims to improve transportation efficiency and connectivity between Azerbaijan and Russia. Tolls are processed using cards, and the road has both standard and non-stop payment lanes. Serving as a key part of the North-South transport corridor.

Description

This highway will be the primary link to Russia from Baku and the project converts the existing two lane roadway into a four-lane section on both new and existing alignments. The project contains an estimated twelve bridge structures, five interchanges, two roundabout intersections (at the Russian border), dozens of box bridges, and almost two hundred culvert crossings.
