Objective

Description

A 763 km highway upgrade project in eastern Kazakhstan financed by a US$796 million loan from the Export-Import Bank of China and implemented by CITIC Construction. The project upgrades a major east–west transport corridor, increasing capacity and speed, and supports regional connectivity within the broader Eurasian transport network associated with the Belt and Road Initiative.
