The upgrading of this corridor helps to generate and promote trade and development in the sub-region. Increased accessibility will contribute to creating and enlarging markets, particularly that of regional agricultural trade, but also third country origin products transported along the corridor

The road "will link Eldoret to Juba through the Nakodok/Nadapal border with South Sudan. The road will enhance connectivity between Kenya and South Sudan, thereby enhancing cross-border trade between the two countries..and " has finally begun, moving forward a project that has been on the cards for nearly three decades"
