Objective

The primary objective of the Karakoram Highway within the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) is to improve connectivity and facilitate trade between China and Pakistan. It serves as a vital land route for transporting goods and people, boosting bilateral trade and economic cooperation.

Description

As part of the China–Pakistan Economic Corridor, reconstruction and upgrade works are underway on the 887-kilometre-long (551 mi) National Highway 35 (N-35), which forms the Pakistani portion of the Karakoram Highway (KKH).
