Objective

Description

Construction of Bangladesh's first elevated expressway, extending from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport to Kutubkhali via Tejgaon, Moghbazar and Kamalapur. The project reduces congestion and improves east–west connectivity across Dhaka.

History

The project is implemented under Bangladesh's first PPP expressway concession. Construction began in 2011. The Airport–Farmgate section opened in September 2023, while the remaining sections are under construction.
