Objective

Description

It was constructed to address severe electricity shortages and winter heating demand in eastern Ulaanbaatar. The project forms part of Mongolia’s urban energy infrastructure expansion associated with rapid urban growth and air-pollution mitigation efforts through centralised heating provision.
