Objective

Description

The Pskem HPP is a large storage hydropower project designed to increase renewable electricity generation, improve grid stability, and provide water-management benefits in northeastern Uzbekistan. Construction and geological survey work began around 2017. The project is located in the mountainous upper reaches of the Pskem River, a tributary feeding the Chirchiq basin and ultimately the Charvak Reservoir system.
