Objective

Description

The Galkynysh Gas Field Project is a massive natural gas extraction and processing mega-development in the Mary Province of Turkmenistan. The majority of the output is heavily tied to exports to China. The expansion projects aim to continually boost delivery volumes via the Central Asia-China Gas Pipeline. The field serves as the primary supply source for the 1,814 km Turkmenistan–Afghanistan–Pakistan–India (TAPI) pipeline, which is steadily expanding its southbound infrastructure. The massive project was divided into four phases. Phase 1 is operational, phase 4 is under construction, while the other phases are still facing delays for various reasons.
