Objective

"Connectivity and safety along the Obigarm–Nurobod road improved" - ADB

Description

The project involves the construction of a 72-kilometer bypass road section along the Obigarm-Nurobod route, which will replace the portion of the existing M41 highway that is expected to be submerged once the Rogun hydropower plant reservoir reaches its operational level. The new road will provide a critical alternative connection between Dushanbe and northeastern Tajikistan, avoiding a potential 500-kilometer detour.
