Description
According to CAREC Railway Strategy 2030, there are three sub-corridors within CAREC 1. DRC 101 is characterized by heavy freight traffic volume. It is important as an international freight rail corridor that connects the PRC, the Russian Federation, and Europe. DRC 102 has a total length of about 3,500 km, with 31% electrified and 54% double-tracked. The Chongqing (PRC)–Duisburg (Germany) container block train is running on this corridor. DRC 103 has a total length of about 3,700 km, with 32% electrified and 27% double-tracked.
